Bookings are provisional until the initial 20% deposit has been received. Clients are requested to carefully read the terms and conditions and return a signed copy of the completed booking form. 

The balance must be paid no less than eight weeks before the first day of the holiday. Reservations made within eight weeks of the start of the holiday require full payment at the time of booking.

The damage deposit of £100 is payable with the initial 20% deposit to cover any damage to the property or contents (the property being the house and grounds). The client’s liability is not limited to this amount. The damage deposit will be refunded or accounted for as soon as possible, normally within two weeks.  The damage deposit may be retained in the event of unpaid rental.

No cleaning charge is applied to rentals.  Therefore the client agrees to be a considerate tenant and to take good care of the property and its contents, leaving the property clean and tidy at the end of the holiday. If the property is left in an unacceptable condition, we reserve the right to deduct a cleaning charge from the damage deposit at a rate of £15 per hour.

Guests who wish to smoke are kindly requested to do so outside.  Ashtrays are provided in both the private garden and communal seating area.

For the safety of EVERYBODY, clients are requested to carefully read the rules relating to swimming pool safety.  Anyone found to be tampering with safety and pool equipment will be requested to leave the property.

We cannot accept responsibility for any injury, loss or damage caused in or around Le Repos des Hiboux or the Swimming Pool. Under no circumstances shall the owner’s liability to the client exceed the amount paid to the owner for the rental period.

In the event of cancellation prior to eight weeks before the start of the holiday only the booking deposit will be forfeited. Thereafter, cancellation charges will be the full rental. We recommend your insurance cover includes the cancellation of your holiday.              

In the event of any property breakdown the client is asked to report to the owners to enable repairs to be effected at the earliest possible time. We will not be liable for any temporary stoppage in the supply of public services to the property nor in respect of any equipment or appliance failure.

Pets are allowed from 1 September until 30th June. There are enclosed gardens for each gite, ideal for dogs. Any dog/cat waste MUST be cleared before departure. Dogs are not allowed in communal areas. Pet owners are fully responsible for any damage/injury caused as a result of their pet.

The rental period will commence at 1600 on the first day and terminate at 1000 on the last day. If you plan to arrive earlier, please let us know and we will do our best to have the property ready for you.

In the event of guests renting the gite for periods in excess of 8 weeks, rental is due 2 months in advance of each calendar month.  We reserve the right to request all income owing for the agreed rental period in the event of early termination of the contract.
